cache mode not synchin

I have read a lot of messages on the board and I have not found any definite
solutions.

I have Outlook 2007 in cache mode and I cannot sync with the exchange server.

I have deleted the profile, deleted the OST and have reinstalled the entire
Office application and I still have the issue.

What else can I look at

What happens when you try?
Are you connecting locally, via VPN or via RPC over HTTP?
