Is there a way on how to bypass the login password in
Windows XP like in other Windows operating systems like
98 and Millenium in which you just press ESC or Cancel
and it will still log into Windows?

Hi,

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Because Windows XP is based on windows NT, it contains all
the security of a business operating system, and
consequently you are unable to bypass the login screen if
a password is set. However, if only one person has an
account on the computer, you can bypass the logon screen
by clearing the password (i.e. changing it to a blank).

Chris - I had the same question - search XP Help and MS's Knowledge base.
Did I just miss the answer or is it not documented?

Thanks
