I'm looking for a Gaming PC to last me the next few years. I have a £3500ish budget, thought about building it myself but I would prefer pre-built with a warranty for 2-3 years. Any suggestions? I've looked @ www.Alienware.co.uk and *SPAM* so far. Quite like the Godlike. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Yes

Both are overpriced for what you get. IMO.

You are silly paying that much for a pc as tech is moving way to fast atm.

If however you really wish to spend that kind of cash try OcUK:

That beats that 'godlike' hands down. Faster CPU, Bigger SSD, 2 480's v's 2x 470's etc etc etc

What about a monitor, KB and mouse then? You have that? Spending that kind of money would meanyou already have a few 30" monitors etc to hook up to it? ;)

We bought from Novatech last year & it's been a joy to own.:D
Have a look at their pc's and if you want to add extras just ring them up & ask.
Or go to one of their showrooms and talk directly to them.

To be honest no pc is futureproof however much you spend!!

Alienware have always been overpriced and overrated.

They continue to exist only by deception.

Nothing wrong with their machines usually but they charge customers way too much for something that can usually be had for a good 25 to 35% less elsewhere.

Right this is my thinking so far

Emailed *SPAM* *SPAM* guys
they told me they go for overclocking and give free overclocking covered in their warranty and free delievery/no hidden costs.

Had a look on Cougar, cheap and cheerful. Anyone have experience of them?

Meh wasn't a fan of Scan's website and their systems are disgustingly over priced lol.

At the moment I am thinking of the *SPAM*, its under budget and the *SPAMMERS* guys responed pretty quick and said for my needs thier £1595 PC would be more than good enough, can't argue with a company that would rather sve my monies than over spend. :D

Had some bad experiences with Overclockers back in the day.
Aria never heard of em but ill take a looksee.

Any other suggestions?

I do hope this isn't a blatant plug for *****.

I'd never heard of them prior to this thread.

And therefore have no idea of their reliability and after sales service.

As for Godlike, it certainly has impressive spec and if you have the cash and that's what you want, go for it.

I'd not like to think about the heat coming off those two 470's though

Is it value for money? Price up the parts individually from some suppliers such as OCUK; Chillblast; Kustom PC's and E-Buyer, that'll give you some idea. The biggest expense will possibly be the SSD.

One last thing - who make the PSU's for Uberware? Ask them. If it's a cheap and nasty it will let the whole machine down.

Yep all it says is Uberware 1200watt PSU
That could be a sheep dressed up in wolfs clothing and masquerading as a top notch PSU, I wouldn't trust that definition I would want clarity on who the actual manufacturer was!

This is looking a little Spammy at the mo, may not be but its a possibility..

Ok, that's it, on evidence suggested, which includes identical replies at other forums, it seems likely our DoomWeaver is an Uber-ware director or something.

So, thread locked.

I was rather hoping he'd post elsewhere and try to justify his blatant crap, thus, probably, shooting himself in the foot.

But we'll never know now as Sir Mucks, six gun for hire, straight from Kansas, shoot first ask questions later, lol, has banned him/her.

The sad thing is these people will fool some folks, just look at Mesh. Sad.
