Built in Admin user acct

New to XP home...I initially was using the built in acct but recently created
another adin and limited acct for my son. In doing so I can longer access the
built in acct unless in safe mode. Can the files and programs used under this
user account be transferred or view by the other admin acct? I tried to move
the files to the shared folder while in the built in admin acct, but it shows
up as a shortcut in the other admin acct. When i click it says that access is
deinied. Also can i transfer personalized seting from the built in admin acct
tot he created admin acct? Any help is greatly appreciated.

User profiles often have folder permissions for the user only [and system].
What you can do is logon as an administrator and then add "administrators"
or your specific user account to permissions on the administrator account
profile under documents and settings though you may need to take "ownership"
first. You can copy settings from one profile to another but you need to
logon as an administrator though it might not work if you are logged on as
the source or destination account so you may need to create another user
account to do the task. The links below may help. --- Steve

--- copy user profile.
