I am getting constant BSOD screens, the system boots up OK but after a while
it crashes.
the bugckeck report is as follows:
0x00000077 (0xc0000185, 0xc0000185, 0x00000000, 0x0125d000)
this seems to point to a hardware problem or driver?.
I used the Recovery Console to do a chkdsk, and this hangs at about 50% with
the message "the volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable
problems".
I tried to revert back to "default" settings, but got the same message.

I installed "support tools" to run "dumpchk & pstat.exe", which give the
same error codes, but can somebody tell me how to make these static instead
of the fast scrolling through?.

would anyone tell me please, if their is a next step to try and solve this,
or am I starting again (for the 3rd time!).

grateful for any assistance.

thanks for the link.
I need to try and narrow the possible error and am trying to run 'pstat.exe'
to get the "exception address" code which may help pinpoint the error.
can you tell me please how to read the display after I type this into the
command prompt, as it flashes by and goes off the screen?.

thanks

Hi

Redirect the output to a text file. Such as:

pstat >pstat.txt

Then open the file in Notepad.
