That was one purpose of asking the question.
Yes--Windows Defender updates via AutoUpdate and Windows Update--or WSUS.
So--if you are running WSUS, the WSUS administrator needs to enable some
settings--I've posted the details a couple of times--look for messages in
the .network section here within the last 3 days.
If you are running SUS, you need to be moving to WSUS--SUS won't be updated
beyond December 2006 as I understand it. If you are running a third-party
patching solution, I don't know what's possible.
