Bug in windows mail/contacts

Did anyone noticed the following?
When composing an e-mail with a receipient e-mail adress containing an
accent in the name, windows mail brings you to the contact entry form after
cliking the send button, instead of sending the mail.
remove the accent in the mail address, click send and there you go, your
mail is sent.
Else, if you have an accent in the e-mail address, you have to have your
e-mail address recorded in the contact list or wlndows mail will not let you
send it...

Weird behavior, isn't it ?
Using Vista SP1, Windows Mail version 6.0.6000.16386 (vista_rtm.061101-2205)

It's not so weird if you know the history of electronic communications.
Accent marks are not part of the standard 7-bit ASCII character set.
Try this: Tools, Options Send, Mail Sending Format, choose HTML Settings
or Plain Text Settings, MIME: "Allow 8-bit characters in headers".
You will need to do this for both HTML and Plain Text settings.
