I am using a powerbook with Panther install and i installed Virtual PC 6.01.
I installed windows 2000 and updated to sp4 everything fine sofar, then i
update IE to 6 and sofar everything fine i then run the next updates and
when windoze 2k boots back up my favorite color shows BSOD with this error
Stop: c0000135 {Unable to Locate DLL}
The dynamic link library winsrv could not be found in the specified
path Default Load Path."

I tried booting from the cd and running a repair, that didnt work, i even
tried to copy the system and software file in the c:\winnt\repair\regback to
the c:\winnt\repair folder but no luck. Any suggetions on how to fix this.

The same happened to me. I installed XP and I am afraid of installing
updates from Windows Update. It seems that VPC doesn't like updating
the guest OS.

I did notice and saw in another thread that if you completely close out of
Virtual PC and open it back up the windows os will boot fine.

If you're not sure of how the updates will affect your existing PC image
then duplicate the disk image while the PC is shut down and work on one
of the copies. This is one of the benefits of using a virtual PC instead
of a real PC. Don't be afraid to experiment.

The solution for me was to uninstall KB835732. This "Critical Update"
seems to cause this problem. I sucessfully uninstalled and installed it
several times during my testing.

Good luck!
