BSOD for Dell 4600 When Multi-Tasking !!!

BSOD appeared on this machine on 12/27/06--it is a DELL 4600 with 1G RAM. I
tried to research the information in the attached links but none really point
to a definite cause--this is NOT the first BSOD for this machine. I have
gotten 3-4 in the last 4 months with the same type of error code.

When I research the error code, it seems to indicate a driver error
(0x.....A error code with remark "IRQL_NOT _LESS_OR_EQUAL" was the last BSOD
error code before the one on 12/27/06).

However, I can't really understand what driver if any is involved. Could
this error indicate faulty RAM? I heard that even if you run the memtest.org
utility, the RAM could still be faulty even if the test runs OK.

The BSODs seem to occur when the machine is engaged in many tasks at
once--- printing a long document while web surfing while doing a virus scan
while listening to a CD.. Don't ask -- I have teenagers that usually are
very good to the machine but sometimes they take multi-tasking to the extreme.

No recent software or hardware installs that come to mind that might be
causing the BSODs and other than the BSODs the machine is generally
well-behaved.

It connects to the Internet via a D-Link wireless USB connection which seems
very reliable and response times at 54Mbps are good for our needs right now..

Any help would be appreciated since I really want to stop the BSODs from
happening.
Thanks so much.

Also true, but rare.

Going out on a limb, i checked the BIOS revision history, and there's a
LONG list of fixes. Many of them were chash-causing. So:

http://support.dell.com/support/dow...1&vercnt=12&formatcnt=1&libid=1&fileid=110561

Grab the latest BIOS. Revision A12
