system restart when cd introduced

hi,

for the last 2-3 days, everytime what I put a cd or dvd into optique drive
the system restarts and after boot a message tells me that windows has
recover from a serious error. the system log says this:

could it be a driver problem?

Since it's related to the CD drive, I would assume you have a driver related
issue, try looking at the cd drive manufactors web site and see if they have
a newer driver available, be advised that xp doesn't need a driver to use a
cd drive.
and needs DVD codecs to read a DVD
