Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.

I am haveing the same problem. It started yesterday. I too have
re-installed over again etc. to no avail.
I saw this post and tried to do the repair but I saw no option on the
Add/Remove screen. IS this not a feature in Win ME or might this
feature be some place else?
