Browser fails to connect to Search Engine Sites

S

Scott

Every time I try to connect to any Search Engine sites,
Yahoo, AltaVista, Google, my I get the standard error
message that tells me "Cannot find Server", The page cannot
be displayed and to check my Internet options etc etc...I
get the same error when I actually try to use one the
search engines, like Yahoo or MSN For example, I go to
WWW.MSN.COM and I then try to search on anything and it get
the same message. Same happned with Yahoo. I cannot even
get to google or Altavisa or askjeeves. It appears that
anything search engine related fails. I recently noticed
that somehow a product called My Search got installed on
muy PC. I removed it but I suspect this may be part of the
problem. I can use mysearch successfully or netscape, but
nothing else works correctly.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Dealing with Unwanted Spyware
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis: post your files to the
recommended forum. Some of these bad guys have started blocking users
access to AdAware's and other's pages! (More at
http://www.spywareinfo.net/sep16,2003)

If you cannot access the page to download HijackThis, use this link:

If you find you need CoolWebSearch Shredder, use this link:

(Version 1.14 is the newest update. Get a fresh copy of CWS Shredder before
each use.)
