search engine problem

Peter Daems

Hi,

On one account of my win xp computer search engines don't work anymore. I
can load the page of the engine (like google), but when I type in a keyword
it doesn't search... I tried several other search engines like altavista and
yahoo. there the same problem.

any ideas?

On the same account there is another problem, this time related to outlook
express. Everytime I want to check mails there, my connection breaks and I
have to make an new DSL internet connection.

i checked the options in oe, but no problems there...

Any hint is welcome,

Thank you,

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
