Broswer full of junk

My wife is not a computer expert by anu means but loves to
surf and sometimes clicks on things that she should not
and gets stuff downloaded to her computer.

Here browser has several new tool bars on it, some with
smiley faces some with flashing news reports and other
things.

How do I get all these things off there and return it to a
plain ole Windows 98 browser?

I am running win98 with IE 6.

I would also download a program called ad-aware to clean up any spyware on
your Pc.
