can't watch internet tv episodes

Hi I run windows xp home and have Adobe Flash Player 10. My wife has the same
thing at work and she can view tv episodes from her computer. When I click on
an episode I can see the commericals but the show never starts. My wife said
that I am missing some graphrics with the controls and a counter that tells
you that the show will start in 10 seconds. This happens on all three network
web sites.
Any clues?

Any clues?

Windows XP Home service pack level?

Browser identification and version?

Have you scanned the computer for malicious software with updated
security applications?

Are there blank areas where the counter and controls should be, or is
the window/frame too small (bottom or right side cut off)?

Occurs at multiple sites? Identify which site(s). Did those sites work
before (any updates since they did?)? Try other streaming videos like
other networks (cable/satellite and conventional broadcast) and
streaming sites like YouTube.

I recently helped someone access a site featuring some flash objects
that apparently weren't displaying properly with Vista and the latest
version of the Flash player. Some of her associates weren't having any
problems. In her case the flash object works if she right clicks on one
of the Flash objects and selects "Play" from the resulting context menu.
You Mileage May Vary (YMMV).

Hi Robert. I am running windows xp home service pack level 3, ei 7. I have
run every cleaning virus scanning software I have norton system works,
webroot 6.02, AVG 7.5 and run them in safe mode. Where the counter should be
it is blank. On some not all other web sites I have missing graphics and
where the garphice should be is "Internet Explorer cannot display the
webpage" in the box. The odd thing is I can go to ESPN and their video on the
home page just play's. I go to Mn Twins web site and the video doesn't play
GARRRG! Thanks for your help
