broadband bandwidth meter ?

Is there any freeware to monitor how much of my bandwidth is being 'eaten
up' by various downloading software (kazaa etc), to run small (or in system
tray) would be great.

Cheers

Try NetMeter

This may not be *exactly what you're looking for, but you will love it. It
is a 1 file EXE, and runs in the tray.

Andy,

Look for

www.TrafficStatistic.com

It shows the bandwidth used in tray and is able to show statistics of
host and services consuming most bandwidth. It's free, without time
limitation, adware or any other nasty thing.

With nonfree plugins it can also do queries for traffic details for any
time interval and for any machine in a network.

The tool is based on WinPCap and ACE libraries.

Best regards
Marcel

Hi John,

yes, sorry for this limitation so far. Hard to believe that anyone
still uses DOS like 98 or ME. And even harder to make something reliable
for such an Operating system. Which platform would you prefer?

We will do it, if people like it. We are happy, if people like our programs.

Source is tested compatible also to Linux and Solaris X86 and Solaris
Sparc. For other platforms we lack of testing environment so far.

Best regards
Marcel

Eh? Around these parts, about as many people are still using 98, 98SE
or ME as are using XP. In fact, I set up a computer for somebody a
couple of days ago that's still running W95 (SP1).

Well, given that as many people in this group (from what I can tell)
are still using 98 and ME, I'm surprised that you didn't make it
compatible for those versions. In fact, I'll bet there are a lot of
people reading this group who are still using W95.
