A tool to monitor monthly bandwidth usage?

Does anyone know of a tool I can use to measure/monitor my monthly
bandwidth usage as I would like to use the cheapest bandwidth provider
but without such a tool I wouldn't know how much I'm using per month to
inform my choice of ISP. I don't want to pay for more bandwidth than I
need yet I don't want to sign up with one that will annoyingly limit
me.

Many thanks and regards.

Try NetMeter
"....NetMeter is a small, customizable network bandwidth monitoring
program for Windows 95/98/98SE/ME/NT4/2000/XP.
NetMeter is and will always stay freeware.
The program has been tested extensively on Windows 2000 and XP,
but it should work just as well on all other Win32 operating systems.
At the moment there is no online-help or support available - sorry!"

I know of a german one, however, it is the proprietary product of the
German Telekom, and of course, written in german. It is called TDSL-
Speedmanager, and can be found at www.telekom.de (enter the word
speedmanager into the "suchen & finden" field)

I see that they have updated their page; two days ago, they didn't have
the version 6 for download. 4.5 MB to download.
