Nice Site

http://www.e-systems.ro/

Contains:

DiskCheck
FlexInfo
Bandwidth Monitor
Port Blocker
Time Synchronizer
HTML Tag Remover
CD Tray Pal
EzMem Optimizer
Logical 5

I assume they are all freeware. I assume also that they are all
standalone, small, require VB6, and require 'activation' which is a
simple one time online act.
The site also has loads of .dll's and some runtime files etc.

Yeah, but why does this site require a one-time activation of downloaded
software? It there some kind of spyware, tracking or what going on here?

My FW suggests that the port blocker and disk checker do not call home.
So I assume none of the other apps do.
'Activation' is a simple matter of obtaining a serial number in exchange
for a name and email addy. They say the addy must be real, but [email protected]
works, even after a previous activation with a real addy from the same
IP.
License.txt says:
==============================
(f) You agree that Emsa may audit your use of the Software for
compliance with these terms
at any time. In the event that such audit reveals any use of the
Software by you other than
in full compliance with the terms of this Eula, you shall reimburse Emsa

expenses related to such audit in addition to any other liabilities you
may incur as a
result of such non-compliance.

My guess is that they are pretending that 'activation' somehow is giving
them monitoring potential :)

The apps are clean and simple and the site is likewise. I see no reason
at all to distrust them.
