bootvis and recovery install causing problems

C

Chris

Here's my situation:

I ran bootvis to speed up my boot time, and I ran system-
optimize

Afterwards, XP wouldn't start except in safe mode, so I
did a recovery install

Now, when I start XP normally, the bootscreen loads, but
no logon. When I start in safemode, a screen loading some
files starts(mostly .sys), but no logon.

I searched the knowedge base, but couldn't find anything
for my situation. Thanks for any help in advance.

If it is impossible to recover, how can I recover my ntfs
encrypted files.

Thanks, but does this mean there is no way to recover?
