booting up with XP home ed & IE6

when I turn on my computer to boot up all the program
windows open all at once, and won't close until all
settles down then I close them one at a time.

Check your Start Menu, Programs (or All Programs), Startup folder and make
sure you haven't inadvertently gotten copies of your shortcuts in there.
