Hey,

I recently cleaned out my pc of dust and then plugged in a high powered fan into the motherboard and ever since i have tried booting it up it failed to load the login screen of windows it simply reset itself. I wondered if there has been any similar problems and if it could be realted to a certain component failure? if someone could get back to me on this as I really do not know what is failing within the computer....i even unplugged the fan and it still failed to work.

Thanks
RICH

it keeps resetting itself?

i rememeber when i had this problem i had a good look at my pins.

u know the ones for your pc swtich, ide led, power ide,

prehaps these are somehow in the incorrect place
like u mite have your power ide for your reset sw pin.

u said u plugged in a high power fun, is this a cpu fan?

do u think u have to change any settings in bios for this?
try your old fan and does it work normally or still a problem?

i think the problem lies in my post
but u have to trial and error it

if you've replaced the CPU fan it has to be plugged into the correct socket on the motherboard or it will shutdown to protect itself
