boot from cd

Amanda, you have to get into the Bios and set the cdrom drive as first
boot device.
 
Burn three files to make a boot disk, files are Boot.ini, NTLDR and
NTDETECT.COM ... Go to Start\Search and search for each file in your system
and burn them to a CD. or download a zip folder containing the necesary
files to make a boot disk...

Look for a line that reads like this:
XP Quick Boot Diskette Files | Read.1st

and click on the "Files" link to download the zip folder.
