Not sure if I am losing my eyesight, monitor or mind! Everything is
horribly blurry. I unchecked Smooth Screens fonts which makes little
difference on this CRT. Am I missing something simple? Just posting for
any suggestions.

Hi,

Try to ininstall your display adapter and reinstall it
with the drivers provided with your AGP Card. Then see if
the problem is rectified. if not then there is a problem
with the monitor or the cable. Get it checked by a
reputed hardware engineer.

Maybe there is a source of interference near yout monitor. Try repositioning
it. If that fails, make sure all the connections to and from the monitor are
good.

How old is the CRT? They tend to get that way after a while (normally
5-10 years though) .. I think it's a problem with the vacuum degrading
over time. Try it on another PC, if possible .. if the monitor is Ok
there, then it may be the video card or the cable (does it happen at all
resolutions? Does it improve if you fiddle with the refresh frequency?).
Some of the early/cheap nVidia based graphics cards had lousy output
filtering, which can cause a similar effect, but they tended to be
blurry right from the outset.
