blurry fonts on screen!

Help please!!

I am a new user and need help with my computer.

The screen fonts are extremely blurry. I've tried doing the CLear Type, but
it doesn't help. Could I do anything else?

Hi Grace,

Actually Clear Type can cause this. Make sure Standard is chosen, hit
apply, ok and then refresh your desktop.

You may also want to verify your icon font size: Icon - 32/Font - Tahoma 8.

It would help if you told us what sort of display you have (i.e. is it a
CRT, or a TFT, what size, what resolution you are running it at, etc.).
Cleartype is really only designed for TFT screens - with a CRT it makes
things worse. With some brands of TFT it needs some 'tweaking'.

Also (if you happen to know) what sort of video card your machine has ..
some are notably more blurry than others.
