Bluetooth windows service not present, reinstall it ?

I have a TrendNet usb bluetooth dongle and I'm trying to use the
windows XP SP2 bluetooth stack with it.

I previously installed WIDCOMM stack for this dongle but it is not
compatible with many software so I removed it and want to use the MS
stack.

My dongle is recognized as "Bluetooth USB Adapter" in the device
management panel.

Great ! Now problems begin...

The "bluetooth devices" icon doesn't show up in the control panel and
launching "bthprops.cpl" from the start/execute doesn't do anything.
I noticed people are talking about a windows service that is handling
bluetooth but it doesn't show up in my services console. I guess
that's why the bluetooth icon doesn't show up in my control panel.

I also guess this service was removed when I installed WIDCOMM
drivers.

Is there any way to reinstall this service ? I'm stuck

Thanks for your suggestions!

It didn't work. The problem really is that the icon doesn't show up
because the windows service for bluetooth is not started and not even
listed in the services management console.

Can you indicate me the binary and parameters for this service so I
can add it manually in my registry ?

Thanks !

Yes I did, it didn't work... my dongle is not compatible with
microsoft drivers I guess, I have to select widcomm's one when windows
prompts for driver location, but I don't want the widcomm bluetooth
stack so I do not run the setup provided with widcomm's drivers. I
guess windows'bluetooth stack only works with microsoft drivers...
strange

I finally fixed by playing with the bth.inf file, this is an ugly
method but it works: I added a line containing the PID of my bt dongle
under the ms drivers section
