My Bluetooth Places does not work

I have recetly re-installed a bluetooth dongle I last used a year or so ago.
It connects fine, and I can transfer files one at a time using file pushing -
however the "My Bluetooth places" explorer window refuses to load. When I
double-click on it, nothing happens. I have tried everything I can think of,
including a full re-install of BT drivers, but nothing seems to work. The
device is a MSI PC2PC Bluetooth dongle, and did work in the past. I would
rather not have to re-install my OS (Win XP SP3)
