Reset to Microsoft's Bluetooth

I am having problems with a Bluetooth dongle that normally would use
the Widcomm (Broadcom) protocol stack. Due to problems, I need to
remove the Widcomm protocol and try out the Microsoft Bluetooth
stock. I am using Windows XP Pro SP3 and the dongle does not seem to
detect the Microsoft Bluetooth.

I have tested this on a different PC that never had the Widcomm
installed.

Is there a way to somehow "reset" the Microsoft Bluetooth "protocol?"

I've done this once, quite a long ago, don't remember all details.
It took longer than uninstalling a typical driver, as there is
the "main" radio driver and all the virtual com port and other devices,
but overall it's doable. Maybe Broadcom support could assist further.

I am not sure if Broadcom would help since the dongle is branded by
another company, who is no longer supporting that model.

BTW: It seems that the Widcomm drivers might be interfering with the
XP DEP system. I located info on disabling XP's DEP:

To turn of DEP completely, go to the Boot.INI file and edit the
option /noexecute=optin to /execute...

if the symptoms disappear then most likely it had to do with it or a
badly programmed driver...

My system seems to be working correctly, for now.
