Uninstall Microsoft Bluetooth Stack

Hello!

I would like to uninstall Microsoft Bluetooth Stack in order to be able to
use the Bluetooth Stack that comes bundled with my Bluetooth Devices
(BlueSoleil in one computer and WIDCOMM at the other).

The main issue is that Microsoft Bluetooth Stack starts to conflict in the
operation of the aforementioned Bluetooth Stacks and, as so, neither just a
correct bluetooth connection between my mobile phone and Nokia PC Suite can
be established.

Please, can you let me know how to uninstall Microsoft Bluetooth Stack?

It's strange, the Nokia Suite worked for me well with the Microsoft stack.
The vendor (BlueSoleil) should provide you instructions how to install their drivers.

When ever the Microsoft Bluetooth stack exists, Widcomm driver will
not be used. To get these drivers to be used, rename the Microsoft
Bluetooth installer (bth.inf.)

BTW: Nokia Suite can use either protocol stacks. You just need to
select the corresponding stack within it.

The webpage that you told me has two methods to bypass the Microsoft
Bluetooth Stack. I already tried the second one (update device driver at
Windows XP SP2 device manager for the Buetooth USB device) but it didn't work
as at Nokia PC Suite system info only continues to appear at Detected
Bluetooth stacks:
- Microsoft (Version: 5.1.2600, Build: 2180)

How can I enable WIDCOMM Bluetooth Stack at Nokia PC Suite and disable
Microsoft Bluetooth Stack as only one can be active at one time?

I'd just like to understand why you want to use the Blue Soleil stack:
the MS stack doesn't work, or you don't want to use it because
of other reason.

Replacing a BT stack is not trivial, it is a complex thing.
The vendor should provide the directions, otherwise you can easily damage the system.

OTOH, any modern software like the Nokia suite, does work with the MS stack.

is much more comprehensive and user-friendly than the one of Microsoft
Bluetooth Stack. That's why I would prefer to use the former ones instead of
the latter.

I do not mean to say that I want to uninstall Microsoft Bluetooth Stack
because I don't like it but just to verify if it is due to it that the
BlueSoleil and WIDCOMM Bluetooth Stacks are not working properly. The
downside is that I could still be facing with bluetooth connection
embarassment even after I have uninstalled Microsoft Bluetooth Stack.

So I just don't know what to do... shouldn't them both work properly
installed together?

Unisntall all / any Bluetooth devices (Bluetooth radio???)
Rename BTH.INF file

Install Widcomm drivers.

WIDCOMM Bluetooth Stack but I am still facing the same problem with
BlueSoleil. I can connect the phone through Bluetooth and Nokia PC Suite can
even read the text messages stored in it but I can perform any kind of
operation with Nokia PC Suite. It gives an error that says: "Failed to read
the phone contents. Reconnect your phone and try again." Though, the phone
still continues connected after that message has been displayed. By the way.
Even now that WIDCOMM is working properly at the PC Suite Bluetooth Stacks,
only the one of Microsoft appears so that should not be the source of the
issue. I am just wondering what is blocking phones connected with BlueSoleil
v2.3.0 to perform operations properly...

Further info! BlueSoleil seems to be completely incompatible with
Nokia PC Suite. I've been trying for a few weeks now and PC Suite
will not connect to my Nokia phone while BlueSoleil is installed.
Removed BlueSoleil and let XP SP2 Bluetooth detect my "second"
bluetooth dongle, then PC Suite works correctly.

If you need to only use PC Suite with your Bluetooth, it seems that
you only really need the MS Bluetooth stack. Dongles that have either
Widcomm or BlueSoleil software seems to also work with Microsoft's
limited Bluetooth.
