Blue Screen with Stop Codes

Hi People

Can anyone help? i have installed a new hard drive on my laptop and i am
trying to install windows XP Professional it configures formats etc and gets
to the point were i adjust the setting which is when the blue screen pops up
and the following message appears A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS
HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

STOP:- 0X00000050 (OX9879ACA7, 0X00000000, OX9879ACA7, 0X00000000)

It seems i have the wrong hard drive i had a 2.5" 40GB IDE Toshiba Laptop
Hard Drive 5400 and changed it to a 2.5" 80GB IDE Hitachi Laptop Hard Drive
5400 2.5" could this be the proble or could it be the hard drive has error?

Theres something wrong with your new harddrive.Go and ask for replacement.

Do you have any printer/scanner/cameras/portable devices connected to
your comp when you are reformatting.Disconnect all the external devices
and try again.

This error usually signifies a driver error. Have you or did you install the correct driver (s) for your new Hard Drive
