Start Up Error

When I start up windows, a message saying "a problem has been detected and
windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
It explains that it is probably caused by improper hardware or software
installation. It all began when I installed Norton System Works & Internet
Security. Have removed them but problem remains. Message explains TECHNICAL
INFORMATION:
***Stop: 0x00000050, (0xf7544c60, 0x00000000, 0xf753d2c1, 0x00000000)

Hi,

Use system restore to go back to a point in time from before you installed
the Norton software. Alternately, visit symantec support for one of their
program removal tools. Norton software is so invasive that completely
removing it and the damage it has done is virtually impossible without using
one of these methods.
