Blue Screen of Death

System dies with blue screen. When restarted it displays
"Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config system

It then suggest to start windows using the original CD
with the repair option.

This fixes the problem.....but, this system has crashed
three times with this error in the past two months. Any
idea as to what the root problem is?

Exactly what does the blue-screen message say ? That's
your best clue.

It could be anything from a bad hard drive to a loose
connection, or a worm, or . . .

If you look in Event Viewer you might gain some
insight . . .
