Blue Screen of Death - Mrxdav.sy - kb832143

Hi everyone,

I have a Problem on my Windows XP Pro SP2 System. When I try to read the
data on a network share I get a blue screen of death. I googled about the
problem. I found an article at the microsoft support center about this.

Unfortunatelly the patch for fixing this error isn't free available on the
download center. Does anyone have this patch or has an idea to get this
patch without calling Microsoft Support, which isn't free.

Did you see this section of the KB article?

"Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for
support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional
determines that a specific update will resolve your problem. The usual
support costs will apply to additional support questions and issues
that do not qualify for the specific update in question."

In other words if you call them to obtain this specific hotfix, and
the Microsoft rep is satisfied that you actually have the exact
problem that this hotfix is intended for, then the charges for the
call will be cancelled. However if your problem does not *exactly*
match the KB article or if you digress from the subject, such as by
asking about some other technical matter, then the call becomses
chargeable.
