I installed this update today from microsoft through Windows Update. Now, for
example when I am playing warcraft Ican alt+tab to windows to look at a
webpage but when I try and go back in to the game it blue screens me saying
something about a memory problem and dumps the memory to disk.

I cannot remove this update and everything was fine before, any ideas?

Do a system restore to before the update.

Set your auto update to notify you when there are updates, not auto download
and install. Ones you don't want, right-click>hide.

Start>Programs>Accessories>system Tools>system Restore.

The tip that Mick gave you is absolutely correct, but if you're not sure what
the update is exactly go to 'Ask Woody.com". This site tracks ALL updates for
Vista and XP and has an alert system that tells you what the update is for
and whether or not there have been reports of problems. Personally, I wait a
week for any problems to show up on this site before I download them (except
for Windows Defender updates) In addition, if this site gives me a heads up
that the update is a major one, I contact the site administrators who will
let me know if there are any real or suspected issues. It can save you a lot
of pain.

Powell
