Blue Screen (0x0000008E) when blank disc inserted in drive

The blue screen error occurs when I insert a blank CD/DVD into the drive, a
Sony DRU800A. The error does not occur with prerecorded disks or when Roxio
Easy CD Creator 5 is open. Any suggestions on which drivers/software I
should update?

Hi doug,

I can't test the action directly, because I have a Sony DRU810A model.

I am not using Easy CD Creator 5. The latest is Easy CD Creator 8 from Roxio. I am not using that.

I use Nero Burning Rom version 6.6 thou Version 7 is out. I am not receiving any errors.

If you enjoy Roxio Easy CD Creator over Nero, then upgrade to the latest version and see if you still have problems.
