Hello,

I have an enorm problem with the laptop

- for 6 hours ago I closed normally at a clients office, i went to my
own office, plugged the laptop on the power, switched it on and all i get is
an cursor blinking at the upper left corner.

- I removed the harddisk and plugged it on to an desktop, made an
image of the whole disk.

- so i think the harddisk is still functioning

- when i bootup with windowsXP original CD, and go to the option for
Recovery (R)
then i login to c:\windows\> but then i do not know what or how to go
on.......

Type "dir /p" at that prompt and you'll see the filenames of all the
options. In this case I'm thinking "fixboot" will be the one you want.
Then you can type "help fixboot" for details. If you think that's the
option you want (and it sounds like it is) then just type "fixboot"
