black lines around video

I'm working with Powerpoint 2003. When I add video or embed a shockwave
flash object, I am getting a thin black line along one or more edges of the
video. The only thing I have tried that effected it at all was to change the
width or the height in powerpoint, but that only changed the location or size
of the lines, it did not make them go away. I also tried to put a white
border on it but that just went around the edges, including the black lines.
Any ideas? Thank you for your help!

First thing to do is make certain you have the latest video drivers for your
system. Go directly to your video cards manufacture site and see if there
is a newer version.

I updated my video drivers, but no change. Also, when I click on the frame
to advace, sometimes the video stops playing and is replaced by a black box
instead of advacing to the next frame.
