Bizarre problem - text is lost once a reply is sent

Outlook will frequently eliminate the text from my reply
to an email once I hit send. Although I have typed a
reply, the person whom I have replied to receives a blank
email with neither the text of their old email nor my
reply. The entire body of the email is blank.
Additionally, the email in my sent items box is now also
totally blank and doesn't include any information from
the original email. It is like I erased the original
email when I replied as well as never typed anything to
begin with.

Did you ever get a fix for this problem? I'm having a
similar problem when I set a rule to auto reply to
emails, the reply message is blank!
 
I haven't yet found a solution.

I actually had a very similiar problem...shooting blanks...now I can'r say that I know why but i noticed it anly happened when I recieved an incoming document in text mode...once i reply I switch the document format to HTML and send....I haven't shot a blank since
