BIG Boot Up Problem

Hi, my pc has got a serious boot up problem, the pc does not get to the dos
screen, just makes some wierd noises, clicking, i cant tell where this is
coming from, but thought 1 of my hard discs was on its way out (ive got 3,
and have not had this problem b4 running all 3), so, i did a reinstall to
another drive, still got the problem, i keep powering up/down, and, out of
the blue (no consistency) the pc boots, once its booted, i can reboot with
no problems over and over again.... just a COLD boot, the pc runs like a
dream once booted.....


Any Ideas..?

See if my response in the .general group helps. Please don't post the same
question repetitively to multiple groups. It just makes more work for those
of us trying to help. If you feel that you must do this (and it's highly
unnecessary) then put all group addresses into the same header.
