Hi John,

They definately do Canon cartridges, I have mine done for my MP600 at their
Oxford branch. Ring 0800 18 33 800(Landline only) which will put you through
to your nearest store, then you can get prices directly.

Many thanks for the info Stick, but I really would prefer bulk if I can
get it and it looks like they don't do it.

Regards,
John.

Cartridge world are expensive for compatible carts. I enquired today and
their price for CLI-8 compatibles is £6 each which is only about £2 cheaper
than the OEM product. I have started using compatibles from Cartridge
Factory, which cost less than £1 each for CLI-8s. Generally, photo printing
results are satisfactory but I have had some odd messages popping up from
the printer which I attribute to possible errors in reading the transferred
chips. For example messages that I have installed two or more cartridges of
the same colour when clearly this is not the case. Removing and replacing
the carts in exactly the same place one at a time has so far removed the
message. I have also had some difficulty in disabling the ink monitoring
functions. I also had one cart which released a flood of ink when I removed
the tape covering the nozzle.

One of the reasons I get my cartridges refilled at Cartridge World oxford is
that they supply the cartridges with the chips RESET. I believe they are the
only company in the UK to do this. Yes I pay £6 for the PG5 and £5 each for
the CLi8's, but they go in my machine as if new and the ink is of the
highest quality. You may consider that expensive but I do not get any error
messages and the ink status monitor works as usual.

Tht means not as good as Canon. And wait until they fade or the
printhead clogs. I choose Canon for that and consistency.

I never have difficulty

But for just a trifle more you can get Canon consistency, the ink that
the printer was designed for, better quality, better fade resistance and
an all around better product. And you can keep a supply next to your
printer so you do get short.

We don't all need to print every job to a high standard. There are some
printing jobs that will print to exactly the same quality no matter what
ink you use.

The issue is that many of the holier than thou do not want to admit that
it is ok to accept a lower standard (lower quality results and less
longevity) and will also accept a higher risk of printhead clogging for
a lower price. If that is what one wants to accept in exchange for
money that is ok. Notwithstanding that I just do not like to support a
bunch of relabelers that do not adhere to full disclosure and some of
them even have dubious business practices.

My advice John is to ignore anything and everything that idiot
meashershithead says.
He's a known liar and a canon oem troll.

Take my advice, John - ignore him. I tried that argument with him months
ago, at length. So much at length that I began to sound as obsessed as
he does. He refuses to accept it, and will simply come after you about
it, questioning your ability to judge quality as well as your
truthfulness until you tire and go away. Don't make the same mistake I
did. Ignore him now while you still can...

I wish I could help, but I'm in the U.S.
