Unless you want to go to the trouble of changing chips. For me a
disaster but I am sure others will have had some success when you read
the positive feedback from e-bay. The point is you can certainly afford
to experiment. The Canon ink costs the same price as the printer. I did
get an e-mail from someone in the UK selling a new spongeless cartridge
for the Canon. Mine is in the loft because of the high price of ink.
