Belkin Bluetooth screws Start/Turnoff?

Laptop not responding to Start/Turnoff and Start/Restart after
installing Belkin Bluetooth software. Uninstalled and Virus scan but
no better.

Did a restore to a point before installation of Belkin Bluetooth
software and all seems well -so far.

question- Is the unsigned driver causing problem or possibly windws
update? Anyone with similar problems?

try going to start>run>cmd>shutdown (for shutdown) or shutdown /r (for
restart). If this works better, odds are the new driver is just slowing down
the shutdown process. Either way, if you're using the Microsoft driver, try
the Belkin driver or vice versa. If Belkin has tech support, they might be
the better people to ask. They're more familiar with what their hardware and
drivers do to system settings and stuff.

You might also try getting a registry repair program and see if the new
software runs any better after the registry has been repaired. You can
download a free trial of Registry Repair Pro from download.com and it works
pretty well. The catch is the free version only repairs 30 errors after the
scan, plus an additional five at a time. If it comes up with over 300 errors,
it would be better to just pay the $10 and get the full version. I think
repairing the registry, defragmenting it, and being able to make a complete
backup of it is worth the money. Usually that'll fix a lot of problems you
may not even know you have, but on rare occasions if the computer is already
pretty far gone, some reg repair programs will lobotomize what's left of the
operating system. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RECENT RESTORE POINT BEFORE TRYING
THIS!!!
