I have for the last few days been prevented from taking part in any of the XP
users groups, my crime, responding to a nasty posting in a non-abusive
manner.
I was given no right of reply, the plug was pulled by a small minded
ajudicator who does not have the courage to come forward but acts like a
sneak

You are using the CDO interface with a web browser. Try using a news reader
like OE or Agent. It may have just been a glitch with the CDO interface.

Gee Sandal, did you not believe poster JJ when he said MS doesn't ban
posters? If you want a real explanation of the trouble you are
encountering, try stating the evidence. In other words, what makes you
think you were banned?

Thankyou Kerry for your reply
Due to my lack of experiance I do not understand your reply, how would I set
such a thing up?
For the record I haven't changed my settings and I'm able to post this.
There was no glitch, all three posts, mine included, were removed.

The posts were pulled, they disapeared and that didn't happen by itself and
straight after that I was unable to post anything altho' I could view.
I haven't changed anything and I'm sending this.

Re: Being banned. No, you weren't. I don't know why you weren't able to
participate in the forums, especially without knowing exactly what was
happening on your side (Did the page not load, did you get an error, did the
computer simply implode when you tried to get to the site, etc etc etc,) but
I can say without any reservation that you were and are not banned from
these forums.

Re: Posts being pulled. Not that I can see. As near as I can tell, none
of your posts have been removed. Can you give a little more information on
the missing posts, like date they were made, subject line, etc?

John,
Since receiving your post I have spent the last few hours searching, making
sure ,as far as I can, I am neither wasting my time or yours and unless I
have missed something, posts are gone.

Before I go further, your roll within these support groups, can I assume you
can investigate matters such as these thoroughly by that I mean
if posts are being pulled are you able to ascertain that?.

As for being banned/prevented I will explain my concerns in my next post
I do however note your assurances.

You are being paranoid. You simply don't know how to use the web interface,
or are expriencing problems that occur when the news servers mess up.

Either go with the recommendations you have been given and use a real news
reader, or go back under your bridge.

Actually, if you would like to have a conversation with me alone, then I'd
ask you email me. Newsgroups aren't for one-to-one conversations. If you'd
like to post a summary of our email discussion, that's fine. I post with my
real email address for that reason, to be accessible.

My role? I'm the Newsgroups Administrator. If there's someone at Microsoft
more in a role to investigate why and when posts are removed, I hardly know
who they are.

Dear Tom,

Under my bridge people are allowed to voice their concerns and/or make
mistakes gracefully.
As for my mental state, it's sound.
As to your reply, one can only begin to understand the immense relief you
must feel at being able to voice your own deep seated fears.
I wish I could advice you but I am not sure if we here in Microsoft
Communities is the best place for you to express those fears.

Thankyou John

Which E-mail address do I use?
I started this on a public forum and have no problem receiving its
support or criticism but I do agree, not the best place for a one to one.

Sorry, forgot you couldn't see my address in the web based reader.
