yep, decided to just go for it and have been rewarded with a 12331Kbps sync and a DL speed of just over 10Mb

for some reason the older firmware is letting the router use the 992.5 modulation, either way i've managed to get an increase of 5meg from just playing with my connection :D

My 585 has the 6.2.17.5 firmware, so I can't get into those DMT settings either.

Should I be looking to downgrade the firmware too?
 
Yes if you want/need to change the target SNR. :)
