BCM2.0 and .oft file issue

I've been fighting with BCM in that it started to complain that my .oft file
version was not correct. I was not able to find much info to clarify, and
there were no KB articles. I tried several things, with no luck, so I
finally paid the $35 for Microsoft support and was able to get this working
again.

I modified the steps below slightly to ensure I got rid of all BCM elements,
including MSDE and then did a fresh install. This required running the BCM
install, after removing it, and then selecting remove from the installer.

After the second try of trying to install MSDE, it worked. I hope someone
else can benefit from this, so that I feel my $35 was well spent.

Upgrade BCM to BCM v2.0

===========================

Before we go any further, let's remove old BCM version and download BCM v2.0
from the website and see whether the problem is resolved.

1. Click Start menu | Click Control Panel

2. If Control Panel is not in Classic View, click Switch to Classic View

3. Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.

4. Find Outlook Business Contacts Manager entry shown in the "Currently
installed programs" section, click Remove

5. Download BCM v2.0 from the following website:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...42-6dc5-4922-9dfb-1c82237d6b62&DisplayLang=en

6. Double click the installation file to launch the installation.

Jason's step 7. Use the install application to remove all BCM parts before
proceeding.
