I installed another program that uses MSDE. It would not install so I
uninstalled BCM. Now, I have installed it again, I directed it to use an
existing database and I recieved the following mesage:
Your . oft file for message class IPM . contact . BCM . Account has a wrong
version . Request version 2.00 . 3123.0 , . oft form version 1.00 . 1616.00
Help, please. I am not tech savvy.
Thank you.

If you reinstall BCM from your original Office disk then it is probably an
older version than what you had previous. Have you tried updating BCM to its
most current version?

Thank you for your response. I downloaded and installed SP 1, 2 & 3 for BCM
Update and SB Accounting. I received the same message when I launched
Outlook.

My contact folders, "Accounts in Business Contact Manager" and "Business
Contacts in Busioness Contact Manager" both appear in the folder list. If I
click on one of them, it shows the contact names in the view pane. But, I
cannot open the contacts.

Also, the "Business Tools" drop down menu is missing, it is between "Tools"
and "Help". Without that drop down menu, I cannot import the file I exported
prior to starting all this, ie,my backup.

Thank yu again for your assistance.

Kelley,

Your BCM is currently not installed correctly. Check in Help -> About ->
Disabled Items and ensure that it's enabled. Then Go to File -> Manage Data
Files and add the BCM database. There may be some additional steps required
that you can call me about. My contact information is on my website.

Thank you for your response. I did it the hard way. First, I backed up
everything. Then I uninstalled BCM and MS Office. Then I reinstalled Office,
patched it and BCM v2. It is working now.

Thank you again for your help.
