Look for "error" in that log file and see if it turns up anything.

Thanks Luther. I believe I have finally gotten it to work, however, I will
go through the log as time permits to see if anything stands out for future
reference.

After numerous issues with trying to install BCM07 with SQL Express 2005, I
totally removed/wiped out everything, installed SQL Express 2008, then
re-installed BCM07 without error. Had a few issues post-install which
ultimately resulted in my having to create a new E-Mail profile and import
everything from my old .pst file, but now it appears to be running.

Outlook 2007 BCM Fail

I'm also having a problem installing Business contact Manager.

My PC:
Vista Home Premium SP1
HP Pavilion DV9000 Notebook
2.1ghz
3.75GB Ram
64 Bit OS
AVG Antivirus
MS Installer 4.5
SQL Server Express 2008
Office 2007 Enterprise

Enterprise came with Outlook, I am trying to add the business contact manager. I keep getting a "windows installer service" could not be accessed error.

I have uninstalled Outlook 2007 and reinstalled w/BCM. The Outlook part installs fine but fails when it gets to the BCM install.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is my log file.

What a pain in the.

I read the log that was referred on the error message, and noted that it couldn't find the Primary Interop Assembly file.

When you initiate the install of BCM 2007, it makes a temp file under C:\, before you click next, go into that file and rename "piaredist" to "o2007pia".

Then the BCM will load.
