bass and treble

The bass and treble controls in the advanced section of
the volume control are greyed out , the driver for the
integrated soundmax ad 1981 b chipsetdoes not allow for
adjustment . I cannot find a suitable driver update any
ideas?

If you are speaking about the Windows Volume control,
some audio cards will only you allow to make those types
of adjustments through their own control. Sometimes these
are in the Control Panel or as a standalone application.

well, if the chip/drivers don't allow it, get a Sound Blaster
