Barcode Scanning

I was asked whether or not that access has the ability to
aquire data from a bar code scanning device, or if there
is a programm that is compatable with MS Access.

I know for a fact that it can. Our company reads the barcodes on our
nametags when we go through the lunch line. I know that the lunch billing
program is in Access.

Now "how to do it" is not something I can answer, but at least you know
that your searches will not be in vain.

Dear James New:

I use barcodes and a scanner in a school library application written in
Access. It is the "wedge" type of scanner which sends the scanned number to
the application as if it had been typed in at the keyboard. You can find
