bad save

I had a document on two files, one on my flash drive and one on my hard
drive. The one on the hard drive was an earlier version. I thought it was
the other way around. I saved the flash drive version over the hard drive
verssion (all this in Word). Can I get the original version back?

Probably not. You can google for file recovery software, but
I've had no luck using them. Of course, you could restore the
file from a recent hard drive backup if you had one.

the most powerful restore algorithm so that might have a chance to help
you.
