vista home premium is schedule to backup every week - error is my backup
partition is full - HP made it that way - how can i fix backup error or
re-size partition without damage

I know this does not answer your quesiton but I am curius: Why do you think backing up to a seperate particion is somehow "better" than backing up to the same partition? If you drive dies, both partitions are gone anyway.

The HP "backup" partition is not for Windows use, it's for HP's recovery
image and software. Back up to a CD/DVD burner or another drive.
